James R. Trimm MD, FACC
Originally from Eufaula, Alabama, Dr. James Trimm attended Auburn University, where he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. While at Auburn, he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, as well as the Phi Eta Sigma National Engineering Honor Society. After graduating in 1993, he worked in the pulp and paper industry before returning to Auburn for his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Trimm attended the University of Alabama School of Medicine where he received his medical degree and also completed his residency in internal medicine. While at the University of Alabama, Dr. Trimm received The C. Glenn Cobbs and UAB House Staff Spirit Award. Upon completing his medical training, he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. In 2007, he completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California in Los Angeles.
Dr. Trimm is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and nuclear cardiology.
